TRIALS OF YOUTH

Part of maturing is learning about the world around you, and coping with the challenges that arise. Some Vespers grow up faster than others. In their path to adulthood, all Vespers experience a set of trials before being considered an adult.

Trials of Youth must adhere to our Submission Guidelines. When submitting trials for approval, trials should be listed in order (one, two, three) with the name of the trial as well as the trial prompt listed in the description of the submitted pieces. Trials may also be submitted to our 'Trials of Youth' folder within our group gallery, but it is not required.

Vespers who have completed their trials become eligible to participate in the following features.

Breeding / Career Tracks / Classes / Odd Jobs / Factions / Crafting

SUBMIT TRIALS OF YOUTH

Trials may only be submitted for approval above after completing and uploading all three Trials. If you have been waiting longer than 1 week for your Trials of Youth to be assessed, please reply to the prior comment - do not resubmit your Trials or note the group.

Please note that if we ask you to make any edits to your piece because it does not meet our submission guidelines, you should resubmit your piece entirely so it is not skipped. Thank you.

TRIAL ONE: THE HEART IS THE HOME

The first step to raising a family and being a successful adventurer is having somewhere to raise your young and hoard your belongings. Depict your Vesper creating or living in their new home, be it a shallow, dirt den in the wilderness or alongside those that make up the village in a stone house. You may take artistic liberties with the appearance of your Vesper's new home.

TRIAL TWO: AGAINST THE WORLD

The world is not always a calm, peaceful place full of friends and family. There are many creatures throughout the world with malice in their heart, and your Vesper may discover many unfortunate happenings in their land. Depict your Vesper learning a harsh lesson about the world around them, something that makes them realize that not all creatures are good.

If applicable, the bad creature may be the Vesper themselves, but this must be made clear in your submission.

TRIAL THREE: BATTLE FOR BLOOD

A traditional rite to adulthood is to defend yourself or those creatures and belongings precious to you. Depict your Vesper in battle against someone or something, win or lose. This 'battle' will not count as an official, rollable battle, but merely as a prompted piece.
