Quills

The Quills mutation causes quills to appear on a Vesper and show up on their Import.

EFFECT: Vesper deals 5 Damage to opponents each time a short-range attack is used.

Guidelines

May be the base coat color, a darker or lighter value, a color already presented on the Vesper EXCLUDING eye color, white, black, brown, or gray.
Quills may display up to THREE colors. Colors may present as a gradient if desired.
Quills may not have a drastic curve to them. Think of porcupine quills! They may, however, have a slight curve. VERY slight.
Genes may only be expressed on quills if the genes are present in the Vesper's genotype.
Quills may replace or act as a modification of a Vesper's tail ONLY IF the quills clearly take on the shape or structure of the tail. (this is only possible with some tails. For example, a curled tail cannot be replicated because quills cannot curve into the same shape.)
May not cover more than 80% of the body or cover a size equivalent to 80% of the body.

The Quills mutation has a great deal of creative freedom and potential. Have fun with it! Below are some examples of real quills and animal spurs to give inspiration if needed.
