Primary Activity: Hunting (+1)

Difficulty: Easy.

A lush, vibrant patch of woods at the foot of the mountains, the Noca Pines are difficult to traverse if only because they are so full of life. Animals of all shape and size can be found here, living in the bushes, the trees, wherever there is a spare bit of ground to make a den. Organized towns have been found around the outside edges, and here and there, a shack with a solitary owner. The air itself is fairly cool, even in the summer, and the tree life is primarily evergreens.

Most of the natives of Noca Pines either live solitary lives or join factions for the various benefits they provide. The forest is mostly home to Vespers, who tend to nest in abandoned shacks or cottages; in large, hollowed-out tree trunks; or in dens, either found vacant or dug out of the earth by the Vesper's themselves. More peculiar shelters, however, also litter the area, and the Vesper's here are known for their creativity in finding a home. Factions tend to reside in cleared-out areas of the Pines, allowing multiple members to nest in the same area, unhindered by the dense undergrowth that the forest makes. Although this abundance of plant life provides plenty of food in the form of roots, berries and other edibles, most inhabitants have a love for hunting and catch their own prey, whether it be for their own survival or for a profit.

Due to its abundance of plant and animal life, it's difficult to spot the landmarks that help one navigate the Pines. It takes a sharp eye to notice them, but once discovered, they prove to be valuable resources to trappers, solitary Vespers and factions alike. Occasionally a new marker will pop up, created by a faction, that serves varying purposes depending on its meaning and importance. While these guides are only useful to the Vesper's who know what they mean, there are other landmarks throughout the Pines that all Vespers, natives and passerby alike, are able to recognize and understand.

You didn't catch yourself falling asleep until something snapped you back to your senses. Jolting yourself awake, you realized you had heard rustling, but it could've come from anywhere. You didn't have to look long to find a clue, though, in the form of a large tooth, adorned with colorful paints and equipped to an otherwise simple necklace. You can't just leave it lying around in the forest - you have to return it to its owner. It must belong to someone…but they could be dangerous.

Depict your Vesper searching for the owner of the mysterious necklace. Submission must meet our Submission Guidelines.
